We left Ciudad del Carmen without any rush around 8:30 and headed to Merida where we will meet friends we met earlier in Saltillo.

On the long bridge after Agua IsIa a police car passed is and at the end of the bridge they pulled us over. The discussion started from 3.000 pesos as he explained that I was driving too fast (80km/h instead of 60 km/h and 40km/h earlier). Well, I slowed down at the beginning of the bridge but have to admit that he was right. He said it is an infringment and started small talk about our holiday, asked for the papers of the car, and finally we agreed in 1500 pesos to negate my error. So we continued after paying an extra road toll.

Around 10:30 we stopped at a nice beach to rest. Some of us (Echo and Fordy) enjoyed the shades, the adults did a bit of workout and yoga and the three kids enjoyed the sand and the water without a break.

Then we continued our trip and arrived to Merida around 17:00 without any issues. The passenger side of the car is soaking wet from the AC condensation so we stopped at a Ford dealership, they can check it the next day and hopefully they can fix it to let the water drain out of the car again.
